MEET ROSALIND HARRIS (Founder)
Rosalind doesn’t mind if you call her Ros.
Ros was born in the UK. Her working background was in Sales, Marketing and Public Relations. She adored writing from a young age and ultimately undertook a Creative Writing Course with aspirations of writing for any one of the glut of magazines on the UK market. However, life happened and this was put on the back burner and eventually forgotten about.
Currently based in Tobago, twin-island state of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, she and her husband decided to take early retirement in Tobago, the birth place of her husband’s beloved grandfather. Ros’s parents are from Montserrat.
Her favourite things to do are reading, writing, spending time at the beach and gardening. Her go to drink is Earl Grey Tea. She adores dark chocolate and equally French, Italian, Greek and Thai cuisine.
Ros started writing freelance in 2013 and credits this to the fortuitous and successful submission to a local magazine’s request for stories. This was to reawaken her latent love of writing and realisation writing has played a major part of her working life. The rest is history as is the saying, successfully writing articles and features on women’s issues, relationships, wellness, personal development, also press releases and book reviews. Her credits include magazines ‘Anancy’, ‘Kurama’, Everywhere Tobago’; ‘Tobago Voice’ and ‘Newsday Newspaper’ ‘. Her freelance experience was also part of the catalyst to launching the 50 Plus Black Women Blog in 2022.
